In-town irrigation, drainage and lighting
in Virginia-Highland
Virginia-Highland is small lots, close houses and narrow side yards. Access is the constraint: there is often no way to get a machine to the back, so runs are cut tight and by hand. The upside is that a small yard done properly is completely transformed by lighting, and it does not take many fixtures.
The ground decides the design.
Hand work, not heavy equipment
Where a trencher cannot fit, we cut narrow by hand. Slower, but the beds and the fence line survive it.
Water between houses
Six feet between two roofs concentrates a lot of rain into a narrow strip. That gap is where in-town drainage usually has to happen.
Small yards light cheaply
A bungalow front and a short walk need a handful of fixtures to look finished, which makes lighting the best value on a lot this size.

All four, one crew.
Water, light and sound share the same trenches. Doing them on one visit costs far less than doing them a year apart, and one company answers for all of it.
